I still think Roo kicks our ass, but I'm much happier with this than Lolla. I have no regrets about not saving up the money for Chicago. I hope my Chicago friends make it down here, though.

If you want to talk about something that's really disappointing let's talk about the Animal Collective's new album. If there's anything this year that is more overrated, I've yet to come across it.

Meh. I can see how this lineup would be appealing to a lot of people, so I can't say its really a bad lineup. It just doesn't do much for me personally. The only 2 headliners that I want to see are both at Lolla this year, and the mid-tier doesn't even come close to Lolla, so I guess its Lolla and Lolla only for me this year.

I personally think GLO got screwed on a good spot. If my predictions and counting are correct, they'll be playing the same spot as conor oberst & the mystic valley band last year, which is the second to last set on the main stage on saturday. That might be kind of cool since their show will go from dusk into night, but I was personally expecting them to have the mars volta spot from last year or the manu chao spot. they've done ACL what like two times? at least once. I think this Austin local band deserves a lot more. Plus I've heard they're a giant dance party live :P

I'm gonna give it a chance, but regardless I still think they deserve a higher spot in the line-up. I'm not bitcing but just bringing up that point. I really don't care. I'm just glad they're playing!

I have very few complaints about this year's lineup. That said, I'm not in to DMB at all but do think they are a good fit for the fest and its nice to actually have some headliners this year.

I also think the drop off after the headliners is pretty significant this year. Its very much a different style of fest compared to last year in my opinion.

My last complaint is I almost wish the lineup wasn't leaked as much as it was. I know I could just not pay attention, but I'm greedy.

I wish I lived in Chicago this year. Not super excited about any of the bands. DMB is atrocious. I'll get about halfway down the list and then my eyes creep back up to DMB.

Yeah. I dunno. This is becoming a boiler plate festival.

I reluctantly agreed to a few songs at Dave's set this past weekend, after dragging a friend of mine around to see all my favorites. I have to admit they aren't a bad band and the crowd, at least at JF, was not half the hell I remember it being a few years ago. Jeff Coffin sat in for the entire set, I think, and their cover of Burning Down the House was pretty damned good.

I'm sure it's a good lineup for some, but there's not a single band on the list that I've ever been a fan of, or would ever want to see. I was pretty surprised. I have two 3 daypasses already too.
