Monsters of Folk?

Everyone should be agreeing with this. Sounds like a perfect fit to me.

Id love some Yeah Yeah Yeahs - my girlfriend would flip. Id also like The Killers, Wilco, My Bloody Valentine, Of Montreal, or Beck. I feel like they will book an Alt Rock/Indie act. Sticking with hip-hop would be hard. And a question about the schedule - Why doesn't GO and whoever is in the Beastie Boys spot play until 10? Why end 30 minutes earlier than the other act?

I want to see them, but not as a headliner.
They can, and should, do better than a supergroup and friggin' Ghostland as headliners.

I can only pray! Now that the Beastie Boys are out, this puts a damper on who I wanted to see. But Ween would totally make my fest.

Monsters of Folk would be great in the 5:30 slot.  They can (and should) do better for the headliner.

Ween has an open slot in their Tour during ACL!!
If they did replace my wife would be so pissed at me, she's not going and is a huge fan. She was jealous I was seeing the Beastie Boys; I would not be able to tell her if Ween were to happen.

How is Ween as a festival band?  I prefer the 3/4 hour monster sets myself.

i've only seen them at acl 06, and stubbs once. they were great in 06. played mostly stuff off the country album, but i didn't mind. it was fun watching all the angry parents leading their kids away from the stage while they sang, "piss up a rope".

also, my favorite concert dvd of all time is ween live in chicago. so i'm prolly biased.

^^I havn't seen them but they play a lot of festivals. I think the show would transfer quite nicely to an outdoor setting. What do you mean you prefer the 3/4 hour monster sets? Are you referring to Ween or just saying you like when bands play for 45 minutes and not a full hour?

Ween - when they play Stubbs they play forever.  It allows them to get in a groove, etc

I meant 3 to 4 - not 3 quarters of an hour

I'd like a hip hop headliner. The Roots would be great. We already have alt rock, modern indie rock, jam band/pop and electronica. I feel that would really balance out the top of the lineup. And shrinking lover, just because you like a band doesn't mean everyone on earth likes that band and then will agree with you. I personally can't stand Connor Oberst
