I know.

You got a point on the suprgroup thing, but I have to admit I'm deeply curious about this one, the track they released is really good and for what I've seen everyone here loves at least one of the band's members projects. And I think seeing Conor, M or Jim playing the drums should be fun.

Personal point of view, thats it.

I will be very surprised if they do add someone new in this spot rather than upgrading someone into that position like they did with White Stripes vacancy. The names of the stages makes it clear there are no major backers of this festival and any cancelation is a way to recoup their loses.

Doigman, the only reason that many of us think that they WILL add someone is that the WS cancellation happened about a week before the festival, whereas this has happened more than two months prior.

Moby.  Weezer.  Some other act that peaked in the 90s.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs just got added to the Lolla lineup.  I'm assuming that's who's replacing the Beasties there.

Weezer is no more laughable than KOL as a headliner

The new album is really good live.  I'd be happy with YYYs being added, but they don't seem like as big of a draw as Beastie Boys.

At least one current headliner I'd be excited about seeing, please.

I agree.  Love YYY's but they aren't even as big a draw as John Legend.

I think the "draw" argument, unless the band is nowhere near that level (and YYY's are at least close), is kind of moot in the year Ghostland Observatory is a headliner.

Weezer isn't weak.  Green Day isn't weak, either (although I can't stand them, personally).  I don't want to see either as headliners, but weak they ain't.
